Flying High in North Carolina

Early Friday morning I woke up at 2:30 am and left on my flight to Houston at 6 am. Thr first flight wasn't bad, but getting off was a hassle. I almost missed my second flight to Charlotte by 4 minutes. Anyways today I went and saw Davidson college and first off NC is WAY greener than California. Wherever you look it is green, green, and MORE green. I liked the campus of Davidson and the small town surrounding it. The people there were very nice, they actually reminded me of me.










Got back a while ago.

Birthday's

Eric's 18th birthday was yesterday and to celebrate he had a dinner at Bucca de Bepo, which is an Italian restaurant...but for some reason Jeremy D. thought it was a Mexican grill.
Anyways saw the homies for the last time until I get back from the East Coast, took some random pictures, and had a good dinner.
Overall a pretty chill night.
And Stew is hilarious....but Andy would dominate him on GTA.

Americana....Represents Its Name

A bunch of my friends and I went to the new and supposedly amazing Americana in Glendale last night. I'll admit that it was nice and very clean, but almost to an extent. It seemed TOO perfect. We got followed around by a security guard who thought he was a cop and he told us to break up into groups of 3 because I guess a group of 10 minority guys was just to dangerous. I mean come on honestly I saw other groups the same size or bigger there but he only asked us.......ridiculous. So we went across the street to chill at the Video West arcade. Pabs and Adam are BEAST on the fuzz ball table, at the end of the night they were undefeated. Jason and Simon represented on the driving games by smoking the local competition. Chris and me played Viper I...old school game that is SO addicting, got to level 6 and I died at the boss. A well spent $5 if you ask me. Anyways as we continued walking around we met another group of girls from Texas and proceeded to hang out with them. One of them was pretty dope because she liked my scarf....she was legit. After they left we went to the top of the parking lot to just chill and check out the view. Chilled up there and then in the alley behind the parking lot. Dealt with another security guard except he was cool about it. Random free styling ended the night.

Beautiful Day & Chalk Art....

I just remembered why I always used to love playing and drawing on the sidewalk with chalk as a kid. Ashley and I went over to Paseo really quick to pick something up and I went over to check out the chalk art show that was going on in the main plaza and was blown away. There were so many beautiful pieces...and quite a few cute artists. Anyway I saw Ezekiel and his art loving family enjoying the art as much as I was.
After went to Reference and got a purple & white scarf. Its pretty legit.
Then home. Happy fathers day to all.

Spike Lee Movie in the Making

"The Miracle at Santa Anna" directed by Spike Lee is in the making and is set to be released in September. It is a powerful story about 4 African American soldiers part of 92nd Infantry Division that get trapped behind German lines in Italy and witness the Sant'Anna di Stazzema Massacre. I love WWII movies and S Lee is a great director so I am greatly looking forward to this movie.

Picked my sister up from the Burbank Airport yesterday.
It's weird because that airport is so small compared to LAX. You can walk from one side of the terminal to the next in like 2 minutes!

I've decided to write something for next years Windowpanes.

I will explore my poetic passion.

Race can be defined as many things.
But what is it to you?
To me.
To all.
Is it human race?
Or race divided by color?
Based on the way that we perceive each other.
Conflicts in history over this same subject.
Most of which I firmly object.
Spilling blood and scarring souls.
Learning nothing of the past.
Some respond like Ghandi and just fast.
Others take matters into their own hands, but it doesn't last.
But then again how could it?
Generations come and go.
Meaning of the word race goes to and fro.
Tossed around as if people don't even know the weight it carries.
But I know.
And I say race is what you want it to mean.
And for me it means unity.
You and me.

Anticipation

1 more school day and 3 final test days and I will be out of school!


I cant wait.

Moving On

I always wondered how I would feel to be a Senior in high school. To be honest I'm having mixed feelings. I am excited to be the "big dog" on campus and all that, but I am really gonna miss the seniors that are now moving on. I made some really good friendships with my brothers 1 year above me and they will be truly missed next year.

To all those senior friends that I have, this is for you.
I'm gonna miss you but go in college and kick some ass.

IMAC Grad '08

My neighbor Christina along with Sofia, JT, Fides, Aja, Aurora, and many others graduated last night at the Hollywood Bowl. It was my first time there and I thought it was really nice. Just wanted to say I'm proud of all the girls that graduated. Congrads.

Seems so far away even though its only 2 weeks away.........school and SAT's are making these final 2 weeks seem so long.
